Samsara Bar cue
This Samsara Barbox cue is an example of finish work performed here at Proficient Billiards.
Samsara Cues is a premier American custom cue manufacturer renowned for blending state-of-the-art engineering with museum-quality artistic design. Operating out of Rugby, North Dakota, founders Jim Stadum and Dave Fleming earned industry wide acclaim, including a permanent exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute and a nomination to the American Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame.
Craftsmanship & Technology
Samsara is highly regarded for its distinctive, labor-intensive construction methods:
- Intarsia Technique: They assemble complex geometric patterns by gluing premium exotic woods together at exact, varied angles.
- Exotic Materials: Forearms and sleeves regularly feature Birdseye Maple, Cocobolo, Ebony, Snakewood, and Desert Ironwood, heavily complemented by intricate stone inlays like Turquoise and Malachite.
- Radial & Uni-Loc Joints: Most custom playing cues use high-precision Radial Pins or Uni-Loc joints to maximize feedback and deliver a solid, seamless hit feel.
Signature Product Series
- Break / Jump Cues: Widely considered some of the absolute best on the market. They feature Samsara’s proprietary 9-layer leather break tip which is hard enough to jump efficiently but retains enough grip to take chalk cleanly and protect the cue ball.
- Bar Cue Series: Introduced in 2006 for league players wanting subtle, wrapless styling. These are high-performance players built with premium woods but lacking the flashy, high-tier pricing of full customs.
- True Color & Anniversary Lines: Highly limited collector runs utilizing in-house dyed curly maple and unique “Fantail” point designs.
