Bob Meucci is a cue maker who began making pool cues in 1975 out of Mississippi. Meucci cues are some of the most recognized pool cues on the planet. early models had Meucci Originals on the butt sleeve. Later models had the Meucci script writing on the butt cap. Bob now has a line of custom cues that has a BMC logo also.

We did a coat over wrap on this McDermott G522 Deer cue. It’s not normally done on McDermott’s, but it came out really nice.
Jim McDermott started the McDermott cue company in 1975 in Wisconsin. McDermott cues are easy to identify with the four leaf clover surrounding an M on the butt cap. Later models had a gold decal McDermott logo.

Richard Helmstetter was an importer of pool cues from both Brands Helmstetter and Adams cues since 1970. Helmstetter cues are easy to identify with a Helmstetter logo on the forearm. He also has done some other private label cues similar to the ones like the Jim Rempe series and Robert Weir series.

This cue was hardly used or only chalked for test hits. It came to us as almost new. The cue was top coat finished to take care of some finish settle areas. Cue is smooth and nick and ding free. Both the butt and shaft are straight together and apart. Would add to anyones collection or would make an excellent player.
Paul Drexler is a pool cue maker out of Connecticut who began in 1989. Drexler cues PFD custom cues are easy to identify with the PFD logo on the butt cap.

Palmer custom cues was started in 1964 in Elizabeth New Jersey. Early models were not marked. Some models had the gold foil that said original by Palmer in the window. Later models had Palmer on the butt cap, and also Palmer custom cue on the butt cap.

Ernie Gutierrez is a cue maker out of California who began making pool cues in 1961. Gina cues are easy to identify with the G logo on the butt cap, or earlier examples may have Gina cue engraved with block letters.

The company Southwest cues started making cues in 1982. Jerry Franklin began with cue repair as most do in the early 80’s. DPK Kersenbrock helped form Southwest cues. Early examples are unmarked and can be authenticated by Southwest cues. Cues after 93 are easy to identify and have a brass pin with a cactus, date, and number. Jerry passed away at the age of 42. His wife Laurie Franklin and family continue to run the business. Southwest cues are highly sought after and there is a lengthy waiting period for one.
