Bob Meucci began crafting pool cues in the early to mid-1960s, working with woodworking tools in his father’s shop in the Chicago area and experimenting with cue design long before his company existed. He initially made cues under the name B.M.C. (Bob Meucci Customs) in the 1960s before founding his own brand.

On March 24, 1975, Bob Meucci formally established Meucci Originals Inc., marking the official beginning of the company that would grow into today’s Meucci Cues.

Bill Stroud began Josswest cues in 1972. Previous to that, he worked with Dan Janes and Tim Scruggs in 1968 on Joss cues. JossWest cues are easy to identify with the JW logo. Early Josswest cues had a sideways W.

We did a coat over wrap on this McDermott G522 Deer cue. It’s not normally done on McDermott’s, but it came out really nice.

Jim McDermott started the McDermott cue company in 1975 in Wisconsin. McDermott cues are easy to identify with the four leaf clover surrounding an M on the butt cap. Later models had a gold decal McDermott logo.
