The cuemakers name is Azen Chen from Taiwan. He has been cue-making for over 13 years. His designs are intricate and show a far eastern influence to represent his heritage.

Zen’s focus on his cues matches aesthetics and playability to make the best cue a player can use. Visually pleasing, while high performance at the same time.

This cue was here for refinishing. The wrap was maintained and redyed after the job. The attention to detail is pretty amazing on this cue. Currently refinish work is about 2 – 3 weeks.

Dale Perry is a cue maker out of Florida. Early examples of his cues are signed with a date. Later examples have the DP logo on the butt cap and signed 1 of 1 on the forearm.

Early unmarked Jerry Franklin Southwest cue. The company Southwest cues started making cues in 1982. Jerry Franklin began with cue repair as most do in the early 80’s. DPK Kersenbrock helped form Southwest cues. Early examples are unmarked and can be authenticated by Southwest cues. Cues after 93 are easy to identify and have a brass pin with a cactus, date, and number. Jerry passed away at the age of 42. His wife Laurie Franklin and family continue to run the business. Southwest cues are highly sought after and there is a lengthy waiting period for one. Pool Hall Junkies the movie also helped to catapult Southwest cues. The cue pictured first with the white ringwork is a later model Omega cue after Mike Bender had left the company. It has an aluminum 3/8-10 pin. The cue pictured next to it is an early example from Omega DPK cues and has the 14 thread pin that Bender currently uses. Mike Bender had responded to questions about the cue. As he write in a message “It might have been made by my brother Matt. It was after I left that that one was built. Or it could be Dan Porters work, not sure”

Meucci cues are some of the most recognized pool cues on the planet. early models had Meucci Originals on the butt sleeve. Later models had the Meucci script writing on the butt cap. Bob now has a line of custom cues that has a BMC logo also.
